Pakistan celebrated International Snow Leopard Day on October 23, 2025, joining the global #23for23 campaign, a movement encouraging people to dedicate 23 minutes of physical activity in solidarity with snow leopard conservation.
The Snow Leopard Foundation (SLF), in partnership with the Ministry of Climate Change, IWMB, and PMAS Arid Agriculture University, organized a symbolic hike at Trail 5, Margalla Hills, Islamabad. Over 30 participants took part, accompanied by awareness talks from government and conservation leaders.
Regional celebrations were also held in Gilgit, Chitral, and AJK, engaging hundreds of students through awareness sessions, conservation walks, and speeches. The event received strong media coverage across major TV channels and newspapers, amplifying Pakistan’s commitment to protecting its precious snow leopards.
