Snow Leopard Foundation (SLF) is a nonprofit organization registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under Companies Act 2017 and is aimed to conserve viable populations of snow leopards and other wild carnivores as an integral part of landscapes across Pakistan, while improving the Socio- economic conditions of the people who share fragile mountain ecosystems with carnivores.

Communication Officer.
Main activities and responsibilities
Job description:
The Snow Leopard Foundation (SLF) is looking to hire a Communication Officer to foster awareness-raising and advocacy for environmental conservation, information management, and dissemination across a myriad of stakeholders under various ongoing programs and projects. Drafting, editing, and designing thematic resource materials is an integral part of this job position.
For this role, SLF expects you to be an excellent communicator with strong attention to detail. Ultimately, your goal will be to help ensure clear communication of the conservation messages and success stories across all communication channels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communication strategies to support conservation work of the organization;
- Develop and implement social media strategy and plans
- Develop and circulate monthly and annual newsletter
- Coordinate with the program staff at national and regional offices to collect and collate data and information to be translated into communication messages and documents;
- Lead the planning, implementation, and reporting of international environmental days celebrated at the national level;
- Provide technical support including branding of the mass awareness-raising events and campaigns organized at regional levels;
- Draft and edit communications copy (e.g., press releases, publications, social media posts)
- Assist in maintaining web content and executing social media strategies
- Update databases and media lists
- Track projects and media exposure
Qualification and Experience:
- Graduate degree in communications, environmental journalism, public relations, or related fields.
- 2-3 years’ experience in the management of communication portfolios in environmental conservation projects.
Required skills:
- Proven experience in related field;
- Understanding of media relations and digital media strategies;
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with design software (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign) and content management systems would be a plus;
- Solid editing and research skills;
- Excellent communication abilities (oral and written)
- Strong attention to detail;
- Organizational skills.
