Snow Leopard Foundation (SLF) is a nonprofit organization registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under Companies Act 2017 and is aimed to conserve viable populations of snow leopards and other wild carnivores as an integral part of landscapes across Pakistan, while improving the Socio- economic conditions of the people who share fragile mountain ecosystems with carnivores.

Program Associate.
Main activities and responsibilities
Job description:
The Snow Leopard Foundation (SLF) is looking to hire a Program Associate to support the execution of the ongoing research, conservation, community development, PA management, and educational projects aimed to enhance our understanding of the ecology and conservation issues related to mountain fauna and improve the conservation status of the species, their habitats, and local livelihoods. The incumbent will accomplish the following tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the monitoring of the community-based conservation, livelihood improvement, and educational activities being implemented by the regional offices under different ongoing projects.
- Support the regional teams develop conservation agreements, RFPs, and RFQs and ensure compliance with the protocols developed for the management of subgrant or community support activities.
- Track project deadlines and subsequent technical and financial progress of the ongoing initiatives and timely alert the management and implementation teams.
- Coordinate with the regional management to collect and collate data/information relating to the ongoing project activities and manage the information as per the set protocols.
- Support the regional teams to collect, arrange, analyse, and draft activity completion reports and progress updates.
- Periodically update the Program Impact Sheets in consultation with the regional teams and the supervisor.
- Support the research team in planning, execution, and reporting of the research studies under different projects.
- Develop and update data collection formats and facilitate the regional teams and consultants to conduct socioeconomic and ecological baselines and end-line surveys and subsequent reports.
- Contribute in management planning of protected areas
- Support the communication team to organize capacity-building and awareness-raising events.
- Draft progress updates, midterm, and annual reports as per the requirement of the ongoing project work plans.
- Draft contents for the development of the various thematic resource material.
- Develop case studies of success stories and knowledge management products.
Qualification and Experience:
- Postgraduate degree in ecology, wildlife management, natural resource management, developmental studies, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in wildlife research and conservation.
Required skills:
- Proven skills in planning and implementation of wildlife research, with publication track in scientific journals
- Experience and understanding of community-based conservation
- Familiarity with the monitoring, evaluation and learning tools;
- Experience in developing socioeconomic and ecological baselines;
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with data decoding and analysis and GIS tools;
- Solid report writing skills;
