The World Environment Day (WED) was celebrated in Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral by involving nature clubs and organizing various competitions between students. In Gilgit Baltistan, it was celebrated with nature clubs of the Qurumbar valley by SLF. An event was arranged in FG High School Immit. Students and teachers from nature clubs of four other government and private schools in the valley were also invited. A quiz and drawing competition were held based on the theme of environment and conservation (Picture: WED). SLF distributed its recently launched comic book on the snow leopard and human conflict to the winners of the competition. The book will also be distributed in other nature club schools for their libraries. In Chitral, the event was organized in Ideal Public School Koghuzi. Thirty-two students participated in the drawing competition in different groups. The students participated enthusiastically in all of the competitions and winners were awarded prizes
